Theres no place like home...theres no place like home...

Well...here I am in the middle of Kansas knocking on the doors of people I have never meet before asking for their personal information and bank account number so that I can set them up with a security system. This will be the third year that I have ventured into the dismal wildness referred to only as "The Mid-West" to knock on doors selling, oh...I mean advertising, alarm systems. I have know idea how I got talked into doing this again...oh yea, now I remember, money.
So far I am on track to having the best summer yet; I am averaging two sales a day which keeps me right on track for my goal of selling a total above 200 by the end of August. Although I absolutely hate this job I have to admit it does have its advantages...and I mean other than money! Man, how shallow do you think I am?
Just the other day I had an amazing conversation with a Jehovah Witness lady about the LDS church and committed her to accept the missionaries over for a lesson. I then committed her to an activation fee and 39.99 a month for her new system, but the religious discussion was great.
Basically I have realized that I have to enjoy it or I will curl up in a ball on someone's porch and mumble obscenities until the nice men in white suites come and take me away. So here I am in my apartment with some shiny red shoes I stole from an old lady today after hitting her with a house, and I'm about to wish my way home or at least for the strength to make it through these next few months. Well wish me luck...theres no place like home...theres no place like home...
